Carlino’s pasta making originated in a family kitchen outside of Philadelphia, where the famous Mama Carlino was devoted to using treasured family recipes and Olde World techniques to prepare authentic fresh pasta. She began selling handmade pasta from her kitchen and soon the demand was so great that she and her family opened a tiny storefront shop in their neighborhood, Carlino’s Homemade Pasta Co, in Ardmore, Pa., in 1983. Word quickly spread and Carlino’s Pasta Co. soon became the source for Philadelphia’s five star restaurants, Atlantic City casinos and local pasta aficionados.

Today, Carlino’s continues its tradition of authentic all-natural pasta made with farm fresh eggs, semolina flour and no preservatives. The soft texture and tenderness of fresh pasta absorbs the full flavor of sauces and other ingredients, cooks perfectly al dente and is far superior to industrially produced pasta.
