Maiella Pasta: A Carlino’s Exclusive

Maiella Group
Carlino’s is proud to announce an Exclusive Product to Carlino’s – Maiella Pasta. These organic, high quality products come from exactly where our family comes from in Abruzzo, Italy. The artisans who create this product use spring water straight from the heart of the Maiella mountain range to make the pasta.

As our friends at Food Explore describe the product:

Pastificio Maiella has been producing pasta since 1946. In the heart of the Majella National Park, at the foot of the mountain, is the perfect location for the production of pasta, thanks to the pure water flowing from the uncontaminated springs in the park that Pastificio Maiella then uses to make its pasta. Today the pasta factory has three production lines: one for the long-shaped pasta such as the traditional spaghetti alla chitarra and one for the short-shaped one. The organic and whole-wheat lines are separated from the generic lines. The wheat used is mostly from Abruzzo and flour produced is controlled and analyzed by the specialists daily. Two dies are used, one bronze and the traditional Teflon one. Foodexplore offers handmade pasta online and selected for you the Organic bronze-drawn pasta and the whole-wheat pasta.

Come try an authentic taste of Abruzzo only here at Carlino’s!
